Alternative Positioning Rolls

The APR is recommended for use where more control of the abducted lower limbs is required than can be provided by the T Roll or Log Roll. Selection from the Log Roll range

Supine Lying Support

Support in supine lying is desirable to control the windswept deviation of the lower limbs but adduction contractures preclude the use of the T-Roll. In some cases the APR may give more control than the Log Roll.

Adjustment

If greater control of adduction is required, the additional pads provided with the pommel may be used to decrease the width between the side supports effectively increasing adduction of the knees. Widths can be adjusted as required, using removable pads – see above.
